What is Southend Diving?
Southend Diving was formed in March 2011 to give divers participating in Fusion Lifestyle's Diving Programme an avenue to compete. The club is managed by a small committee of volunteers voted in at an Annual General Meeting and raises funds to support competitive diving.
An annual membership fee, payable to Southend Diving, is to be collected between January and February each year. There are two categories of membership available..
Why should I become a member of Southend Diving?
When divers begin competing, they are required to be a registered member of an amateur club. Southend Diving is registered to the sports governing body, the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA).
How much is the membership fee?
Category 1: General member (£10.00 per annum)
This is required for all coaches, committee members, officials, chaperones and team managers.
Category 2: Athlete member (£65.00 per annum)
This is required for all divers and is compulsory for anyone wishing to participate in competitive diving events.

What is not covered in my membership fee?
This membership fee does not cover training fees, which are payable monthly to Fusion Lifestyle. Although Southend Diving and Fusion Lifestyle are separate organisations they are closely linked and work side by side to provide the very best diving opportunities to the Southend community.
